Gabriel Torres, @gabriel.reads on Instagram, is a Queer and Latinx book content creator. When he’s not talking about books or coming up with story ideas, you can find him hosting his bookish podcast; Try Reading with Gabriel Torres! It’s a bi-weekly podcast that features a new guest each episode from somewhere within the book world. As an avid reader and book podcast host, Gabriel is always looking to uplift LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC voices and stories.
Anna Meriano (she/her)
Anna Meriano is the author of the Love Sugar Magic series, This Is How We Fly, and It Sounds Like This. She works as a writing teacher and tutor in her hometown of Houston. Anna likes reading, knitting, and playing full-contact quadball. Her work can also be found in the anthologies Up All Night, Living Beyond Borders, and Game On.
Jonny Garza Villa (they/them)
Jonny Garza Villa is a product of the Great State of Texas, born and raised near and along the Gulf Coast and currently lives in San Antonio. They are a Sagittarius sun, Capricorn everything else, a former very bad baseball player, and a former pretty good drag queen.
Jonny is an author of contemporary young adult novels inspired by their own Tejane & Chicane and queer identities including their debut novel Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun, a Pura Belpré Honor Book, a Finalist for the Texas Institute of Letters' Jean Flynn Award for Best Young Adult Book, and a Kirkus Best YA Fiction of 2021 selection, Ander & Santi Were Here, a Barnes & Noble YA Book Club selection, and Canto Contigo, expected 2024.
